Welcome
The Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency at Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital was founded in 1957, one of the first residency programs started at William Beaumont Hospital. Over the years, we have earned an excellent reputation for medical education
in Southeast Michigan, the Midwest and Nationally. We have graduated residents that have gone on to fellowship training in REI, MFM, Gyn Onc, Family Planning, MIGS and Urogynecology. Additionally, many of our alumni remain involved in graduate medical
education, as Program Directors, Fellowship Directors, Clerkship Coordinators and Clinical Faculty in university positions. We are extremely proud of our program, our faculty and our graduates!
Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital is a busy teaching hospital with our own Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine. The Obstetrics and Gynecology department and our residents play a key role in the education and clinical teaching of our medical
students. Teaching is one of our core values, and all residents in our program participate in additional educational programs, developed at Stanford University, focused on how to be a better teacher. In addition to 3rd year medical student core clerkships,
our department offers 4th year electives in General OB-GYN, Maternal-Fetal Medicine and Gynecologic Oncology.
