The gastroenterology fellowship is designed to provide excellent clinical training to prepare fellows for a career in clinical practice or academic medicine. We provide all trainees a broad experience in clinical gastroenterology. In addition, we have unique experiences in several areas including hepatobiliary diseases with extensive exposure to endoscopic ultrasound and diagnostic and therapeutic ERCP, and intense research mentorship in clinical areas, such as high risk endoscopy and eosinophilic gastroenteritis. Fellows are provided intense exposure to liver transplantation through our liver transplant service.
The gastroenterology service at Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital is ranked at about number 30 in the United States in the 2019 U.S. News and World Report hospital rankings (among more than 5,000 evaluated hospitals).
