The fellowship in orthopaedic sports medicine maintains the overall
goal of providing comprehensive training in all aspects of sports
medicine. There will be additional focus on shoulder reconstruction,
cartilage preservation/restoration procedures, and multi-ligamentous
knee reconstruction.
Goals
- provide
the educational environment for individualized training in operative
and non-surgical treatment of athletic injuries and degenerative
conditions of the shoulder, elbow, hip, knee, and foot/ankle
- educate each fellow to fully develop research interests in both clinical and laboratory settings
- develop fellow teaching skills for education of residents and medical students
