Corewell Health is the new name for Beaumont.

Residents transferring to a Corewell Health residency training program must submit a written letter of reference from their current program director, which must include a statement of their current status in the program. The Corewell Health Program Director must also speak directly with their current program director about this reference.


Additional criteria

  • ERAS applications only- Application deadline December 31
  • USMLE I & II or COMLEX I & II passed on first attempt unless the applicant is a student or graduate of one of Beaumont's official affiliated medical schools or has done a medical school rotation for credit with the Beaumont Wayne Family Medicine Residence
  • graduation from medical school within the past 2 years
  • visas are not sponsored unless the candidate is a graduate of a U.S. medical school
  • interview ratings of personal attributes – personality, communication skills, motivation, integrity
  • special attributes- medical school honors, community service
  • one year of U.S. clinical or research experience
