Internal Medicine Residency, Farmington Hills

The Internal Medicine Residency Program at Beaumont, Farmington Hills is a three-year program.

Internal medicine interns rotate through general internal medicine services as well as several subspecialty services, including Endocrinology and Oncology. During the 2nd and 3rd years, residents complete a rotation in all required medical subspecialties, with additional months in the critical care complex rotation and approximately 6 months set aside for elective rotations.

Fellowships at Beaumont, Farmington Hills following Internal Medicine training include Cardiology, Pulmonary/Critical Care, Gastroenterology, and Nephrology.

The program has received Continued Accreditation, effective September 2018.

Mission

Our mission is to train Internal Medicine residents to become competent, caring, ethical, and mature physicians that will reflect well not only on themselves, but our program as well, to ensure that future residents are proud of the legacy and reputation of the program.

Aims

The Beaumont Farmington Hills Internal Medicine Residency program aims To prepare physicians for the practice of Internal Medicine by improving their skills as a hospitalist, and understanding the separate needs of patients in a private practice. - To provide excellent patient and family centered care while effectively managing a high volume of patients with a vast variety of medical needs. - To teach residents to reflect on their own health and wellness to decrease resident burnout and maintain a healthy lifestyle while in residency.
