Obstetrics & Gynecology Residency, Farmington Hills

The Obstetrics & Gynecologic Surgery Residency at Beaumont Hospital, Farmington Hills is a four-year residency program which trains a resident to render full care to anyone with conditions that fall within the purview of practice in obstetrics & gynecology.

This residency program is designed to provide an educational experience in diagnoses and treatments particular to women - it is not designed to provide a hospital service. The basic principle of this program is a resident's progressive experience and the increasing responsibility they are given. Assisting is not a substitute for primary surgical experience and primary obstetrical experience in delivering patients, therefore, direct experience is mandatory.

Aims

To provide a comprehensive didactic and clinical experience in the management of:

The reproductive process
Diseases and disorders of the reproductive system
Post reproductive disorders and the primary and preventative health care for patients and exposure to subspecialty areas in conjunction with outside medical centers.
