Contributing to the faculty's unique "hybrid" character are the 22 full-time, hospital-based generalist and subspecialist academic faculty. With their strong dedication to resident and medical student education, each adds to a richly diverse set of interests and clinical expertise. No other non-university program in the country is known to have this number of full-time faculty physicians, demonstrating the genuine institutional and departmental commitment to residency education. This large academic faculty supports the subspecialty care and teaching divisions, and includes appropriately certified subspecialists in the following areas
