We are proud that graduates of the Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital Pediatric Residency Program consistently have achieved their career goals in competitive pediatric practices and postgraduate fellowship training programs. Approximately 60% of our graduates pursue pediatric subspecialty fellowship training and have matched into superb programs locally and throughout the U.S. Many of our pediatric fellowship graduates have returned to Beaumont Children’s following training to take their places among our teaching faculty.
Approximately 40% of our graduates pursue general primary care pediatrics, pediatric hospital medicine, or medical education in diverse health systems, practices, and universities throughout the country. Practice opportunities are consistently available for our graduates in our immediate referral area, and many have chosen to remain in our community to practice primary care pediatrics and join the attending staff.
Graduates of the program have also pursued interesting professional opportunities in remote and underserved areas, military and public health medicine, locum tenens practice, medical education, and academic general pediatrics.
