The Pediatric Hospital Medicine fellowship offers complete clinical, educational and scholarly programs in our state-of-the-art facility. We hope the following information is helpful to you and thank you for considering us for your fellowship training.
If you are an internal medicine/pediatrics resident, we can offer you time as an adult hospitalist during your fellowship elective time. We have a close working relationship with the Internal Medicine Program leadership. Please do not hesitate to inquire more about this!
The categorical Pediatrics residency at Beaumont has eight slots per year with the potential to expand further and the Internal Medicine/Pediatrics residency has 4 slots per year, with the Pediatric Hospitalists being integral to the education of residents and Oakland University William Beaumont University School of Medicine medical students during the floor rotation, newborn rotation, simulation training, didactics, research mentorship, and participation in education committees. The PHM section is a cohesive group of diverse faculty members with interests and passions for many varying clinical and scholarly endeavors.
Fellows will have dedicated office and workspace and will be integrated completely into the clinical environment, along with gaining rich experience through the local and national QI projects, leadership development, educational projects and scholarly project in an area of their choice. Beaumont is committed to the education of medical students at Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine and this a prime opportunity for fellows to engage in educational projects and mentorship with them.
