Kalid Badran, MD

Kalid Badran was born in St. Louis, MO and moved to Amman Jordan during his adolescence. He attended the University of Michigan - Dearborn campus and graduated with a degree in Health Policy Studies with a focus on Health Administration. He worked as a public health officer before going on to attend Ross University School of Medicine for his medical school education. His professional interests include global health, public health, sleep medicine, sports medicine, and working with underserved communities. In his free time, he enjoys being outdoors, spending time with friends and family, trying new recipes to cook and reading science fiction/fantasy short stories. 

Stephanie Icabone, MD

Stephanie Icabone was born in Livonia, Michigan. She attended Michigan State University where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Physiology. After working as a medical scribe in Grand Rapids for a year, she earned her medical degree from Oakland University William Beaumont. Her professional interests include community medicine, women’s health, education, and community health. Stephanie enjoys spending time outdoors hiking and backpacking, trying new restaurants, and of course spending time with her two cats; Miso and Nori.

Megan Knuth, DO

Arshpreet Saraan, MD

Arshpreet Saraan was born in Novi, Michigan. She attended the University of Michigan for undergraduate and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biopsychology, Cognition and Neuroscience (BCN). She then went onto Central Michigan University College of Medicine for her medical school education. Her professional interests include Community Medicine, Psychiatry, Behavioral Medicine, and Social Disparities in Healthcare. In her free time, she enjoys cooking and discovering new restaurants. She also enjoys spending time with friends and family. 

Jason Schomer, DO

Jason was born in southeast Michigan, born and raised on the banks of the Paint Creek before majoring in Biological Sciences at Wayne State University in the heart of Detroit. He then went on to earn his medical degree from the Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. His professional interests include sports medicine, global health and quality improvement. His passions are gardening, golfing, fishing, enjoying what pure Michigan has to offer and cheering on the Lions and Tigers.

Paramveer Swaich, MD

Paramveer Swaich was born in Toronto, Canada and grew up in Canton, Michigan. He moved to midtown Detroit and attended Wayne State University for his undergraduate and graduated with a Bachelor's of Science in Psychology Honors with a minor in Biology. He stayed at Wayne State University and graduated with a Master of Science in Basic Medical Sciences. He then earned his medical degree from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. His professional interests include sports medicine, dance medicine, urgent care, community medicine and volunteering in underserved communities. In his free time, he enjoys travelling, trying new restaurants in Detroit and spending time with his wife and family (including his border collie mix, Royce.)

Sawsan Edriss, MD

Sawsan Edriss (So-Sen Id-Rees) grew up in East Dearborn, Michigan. After graduating from Dearborn High School, she graduated from Wayne State University with a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences and University Honors. She then began at Wayne State University School of Medicine and earned her medical degree. Her professional interests include behavioral health, adolescent medicine, community health, global health, and working with underserved communities. She also spends time on various clinic research projects. In her free time, she enjoys socializing, traveling domestically and internationally, trying new restaurants, and binging television shows.

Ali Elsaghir, MD

Ali Elsaghir grew up in Dearborn, Michigan. After graduating from Dearborn High School, he graduated from the University of Michigan - Dearborn with a Bachelor of Science in Biological Science. He then started at Wayne State University to complete his Master of Science in Basic Medical Science. After this, he began at Central Michigan University College of Medicine and earned his medical degree. His professional interests include adolescent medicine, sleep medicine, and community health. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and son, going out for a good dessert, and doing projects around the house.

Matt Jones, DO

Matt grew up in Harrison Township, Michigan. He attended Oakland University where he majored in Biomedical Sciences. He earned his medical degree from the Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He has always had a passion for sports, and was involved in the sports medicine and physical medicine student groups during his time in medical school. His professional interests include Sports Medicine, OMT, and community medicine. In his spare time, he enjoys weight lifting, playing soccer and basketball, and fantasy football. 

Kezi Jones-Farmer, MD

Kezi grew up in Saginaw, MI. She graduated as the salutatorian of her class from Saginaw High School. She then attended Michigan State University earning a Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology. Prior to medical school, she worked as a Medical Laboratory Scientist in a hospital clinical laboratory and also earned a Master’s of Science degree in Pharmacology and Toxicology from Michigan State University. She earned her medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine. Her professional interests include women’s health, emergency medicine, hospital medicine, dermatology, addiction medicine, community medicine and point of care ultrasound. In her free time, she enjoys working out, hot yoga, listening to music, singing, trying new restaurants, cooking, spending time with friends and family, including her two children, watching her favorite TV shows and movies, and great cups of coffee.

Sarah Koslakiewicz, MD

Sarah Koslakiewicz grew up in Garden City, Michigan. She attended the University of Michigan and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience. While in college, she studied abroad in Dublin, Ireland. She then attended OUWB School of Medicine for her medical school education. Her professional interests include Preventive Medicine, Community Medicine, Public Health, Lifestyle Medicine, Psychiatry, Behavioral Health, and Social Disparities in Healthcare. In her free time, she enjoys being in nature, traveling, taking photos, oil painting, and trying new restaurants. Sarah has a seashell collection from her annual trips with her family to Southwest Florida.

Allisen Nguyen, MD

Allisen Nguyen grew up in Aurora, Colorado. She attended the University of Denver for undergraduate and graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Biochemistry and Psychiatry. She then went on to  attend Oakland University William Beaumont for her medical school education. Her professional interests include Behavioral Health, Community Health, Obstetrics/Gynecology, and Teaching. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, or curling up with a good book. She also loves to cook and bake. She often describes baking as therapy after tough days. 

Andreise Souza, MD

Andreise was grew up in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, where she completed medical school. She did a residency in Internal Medicine and a fellowship in Endocrine in her country, where she also practiced for a few years. She moved to Michigan following her husband, who was transferred in his company. Her professional interests include endocrinology, community and hospital medicine, LGBTQ+ health, and teaching. She loves to spend time with her family, including her two kids, traveling, reading and cooking.

Bryce Bowers, DO

Bryce was born and raised in Kalamazoo, Michigan. He went to undergrad at Western Michigan University and then medical school at the Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He served as a medical scribe before going to medical school. He did his first year of residency out in San Diego, California as part of the Navy's Residency Training Program before moving back home to Michigan. He hopes to do hospitalist medicine after graduating residency. In his free time, he spends most of his time working out or watching sports, but also enjoy movies, golfing and spending time with his family and friends. 

Anthony Delise, MD

Anthony was born and raised in Sterling Heights, Michigan. He attended Oakland University, where he majored in Biomedical Diagnostic Sciences. He received a certification in Radiation Therapy and worked as a therapist prior to starting medical school at Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine in Rochester, Michigan. His professional interests include Community and Sports Medicine. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with my family and friends as well as cooking and staying active.

Trevor Evans, DO

Trevor was born and raised in Waterford, Michigan. He attended Oakland University and graduated from the Honors College with a degree in Biomedical Sciences. He earned his medical degree from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. During medical school, Trevor was an active member of the Michigan Association of Osteopathic Family Physicians. As a resident, he now helps the MAOFP with membership and mentorship initiatives. His professional interests include LGBTQ+ health, musculoskeletal medicine/OMT, and integrative medicine. In his free time, Trevor likes to cook and try new recipes, make abstract acrylic art, and shop for new houseplants.

Abhay Kommana, DO
Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine

Abhay was born in Hyderabad, India but grew up in Dubai [UAE], Dar-Es-Salaam [Tanzania], and Detroit, Michigan. He attended Michigan State University for his undergraduate degree followed by Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine for medical school. He is hearing impaired and uses hearing aids. His professional interests include community and hospital medicine. He enjoys a good workout, fresh coffee and the great company of friends and family. He also loves watching sports/movies and game nights.

Natalie Madoun, MD
Central Michigan University College of Medicine

Natalie was born and raised in Southeast Michigan and received a full academic scholarship to Wayne State University where she graduated with a degree in honors psychology. She then completed graduate course work at Wayne State University School of Medicine before being accepted to medical school at Central Michigan University College of Medicine in Mount Pleasant, Michigan. During her medical school years, she continued to cultivate her passion for working with the underserved. Her professional interests include community medicine, social determinants of health, psychiatry, addiction medicine, and developmental pediatrics. In her free time Natalie loves to travel and experience new cultures —in addition to cooking, baking, kayaking, bonfires and enjoying a good cup of tea.
