Completion of a research project is expected by the fourth year in the program. This project is presented at the end of that year. Qualified attendings who have done numerous research projects mentor residents in this endeavor. Projects that cover combined Med/Peds topics are encouraged, but a project pertaining solely to a Medicine or Pediatric topic is acceptable.
Our residents frequently compete on a state and national level as lead authors for posters and oral presentations of interesting cases or original research. Some entries from the past four years include:
